warrant being issued against Former President of Maldives

The Maldivian President’s Media Secretary, Masood Imad says that despite a warrant being issued against Former President of Maldives Mohammad Nasheed, the government’s position is that they will not arrest the former president.

 

Imad said that the newly-appointed president has assured that the former president will not be arrested.

Imad also denied media reports stating that Former President Nasheed was pressurised by external forces to quit the presidency.
